Berit Elam


Berit Elam is an associate in VLMG’s San Francisco office.  Her practice primarily involves construction litigation arising from private and public projects.  Prior to joining VLMG, Berit worked as an associate at a Sacramento firm where she practiced white collar criminal defense, representing individuals facing government investigations and criminal allegations ranging from mail and wire fraud to perjury and bribery.

Berit was awarded her J.D., order of the coif, from the University of California, Davis School of Law.  During law school, Berit served on the Moot Court Honors Board and advanced to the final round of the National Appellate Advocacy Competition after winning the regional competition.  Berit also served as an extern for Judge Allison Claire of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.  Berit received her B.A., cum laude, in international relations from the University of Southern California.
